BUBBLING Blackburn are literally flying high in their quest for promotion as they go in search of another vital victory at QPR's Loftus Road tomorrow.

Ewood chief Graeme Souness is pulling out all the stops in his bid to lead the club back into the top flight.

So, to ensure his squad arrive feeling as fresh as possible, Souness has been granted special permission to fly his squad down to the capital as Rovers look to turn up the heat in the race for second spot.

"I've asked the board for special permission to fly everyone down to London today and they've agreed to my request," said Souness.

"It's such an important time for us now, I wanted to avoid sitting on a coach for six and a half hours and getting stuck in the rush hour traffic.

"This way it should only take two and a half hours' travelling time and we'll arrive there feeling a lot fresher as a result."

Tomorrow's game promises to be another tense affair with both sides desperate for the points for contrasting reasons.

But, despite Rangers lowly league position, Souness is expecting another stern examination of his side's promotion credentials.

"It should be an interesting game because they are fighting for the points in a battle to avoid relegation," said Souness.

"This was always going to be a difficult game regardless of what's happened to them on the financial side this week.

"But we can only be interest in ourselves so I'm only concerned with our attitude.

"The players were disappointed not to beat Sheffield United on Wednesday night but what happened there is history now -- it's all about what we do in the future.

"QPR are going to have to come out and play because a draw isn't really any good to them.

"So that should make it a far more open game than when they came to Ewood before Christmas."

Souness has been boosted by the news that influential wide-man Damien Duff is back in contention for a starting place at Loftus Road.

Duff missed Rovers' tense 1-1 draw with the Blades on Wednesday night after aggravating a rib injury in the 5-0 thrashing of Burnley.

But the Republic of Ireland international is now fit and ready to go again barring any late setback today.

Aside from Nathan Blake, Souness reports no other injury worries with Keith Gillespie now fully recovered from the stomach bug which resulted in him being substituted on Wednesday night.

Rovers are likely to choose from:Friedel, Curtis, Bjornebye, Short, Berg, Flitcroft, Dunn, Duff, Gillespie, Mahon, Berkovic, Jansen, Bent, Hignett, Hughes, Keller, Johnson, McAteer, Filan.

Rangers boss Ian Holloway is still searching for his first win since taking over from Gerry Francis last month.

He picked up his first point last week after a late goal from Stuart Wardley earned a vital point at Nottingham Forest.

But the relegation-threatened club are currently in dire straits after being placed into administration earlier this week after running up debts in excess of £10 million.

They are likely to choose from: Harper, Perry, Plummer, Brown, Baraclough, Knight, Bignot, Peacock, Darlington, Crouch, Kiwomya, Miklosko, Kulscar, Bruce, Ready, Wardley.
