THE vital role that electronic learning can play in in the corporate world was underlined at the latest meeting of the thriving BURYBUSINESS.NETwork.

Guests at the event, held at the town's Bolholt Hotel in association with the North West Development Agency, included former TV and radio celebrity Phil Sayer.

Phil, who now runs his own successful voice-over and presentation business, explained to the 60-strong audience how he harnesses the latest Internet technologies to run a highly cost-effective operation.

E-learning in Business: How Does It Help? was the theme of an address given by Wilf Gardner, a consultant in information and communication technologies.

He stressed these major e-business advances, allied to work-based training, have the potential to deliver success to companies with a maximum benefit all round.

Meetings of BURYBUSINESS.NETwork are free for all local companies and are organised by Bury-based ISaware, with support from European funding and the Single Regeneration Budget (SRB).
