TYLDESLEY Water Polo Club return to their home pool for the first time since 1997 and celebrated with an 11-6 win by the Under 16s in the Northern Counties League.
Tyldesley had previously beaten opponents Fleetwood 9-8 and they were again off to a flying start with a two-goal lead at the end of the first quarter. Both goals came from James Gendall.
They second quarter was a far more even affair with goals from Luke Nichols and David Gendall being matched by two from Fleetwood.
The third quarter saw a slight advantage to Tyldesley with a hat-trick from Chris Tickle and a goal by Michael Hardman. Fleetwood replied with three goals of their own.
Tyldesley came out on top in the fourth quarter with further goals from James Gendall, Khalid Jhugroo and Tickle giving the home side victory.
