THE Leigh community will be able to join in a cultural year of events thanks to a £12,000 North West Arts Board grant.
The one year project based at Wigan will involve a variety of dance events. Special May Day events will be held over the Bank Holiday weekend with a dance performance planned for Sunday May 28 in Leigh. There will also be a visual arts festival at the Turnpike Gallery in Leigh and workshops in the run-up to May Day.
