PLANS for a new five-acre 'Manufactory' site next to a business park in Golborne could create up to 200 jobs.
The town's regeneration goes from strength to strength thanks to the plan for companies to move onto the site of the old Golborne Colliery, next to Phoenix business park. The 'Manufactory' idea continues the enterprise centre initiative, but rather than being aimed at just one and two-man start-up firms, will attempt to attract bigger companies with enough staff to start work immediately. Glover Industries, Ince, is set to move into the development in the autumn with plans to expand its workforce.
