WHAT has former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell done to herself? She may have shed 28lbs with a tough fitness regime, but, my goodness, I've seen more meat on a rusty fork.

There's really nothing attractive about turning into a Posh type beanpole -- all skin and bone.

In my humble opinion, as an overweight oldie, she's gone too far. She had a much more attractive figure and looked far healthier in the days of the Union Jack dress. And most males agree -- they like a little more to get hold of than a skeleton.

It's no example to give to little girls who strive to be like their pop heroines and super models.

Anyone who watched Little Women: A Day in the Life of a Tweenager could see the influence of the stars on children as young as seven to 11.

They were lamb dressed as mutton and all they thought about was make-up -- they had stacks more than I have-- and shopping.

It was so sad to see they have been made marketing targets. Their parents had even accepted the exploitation of their age group, explaining that they had to let their daughters have what everyone else had otherwise they'd be bullied if they were different. At that age it really is too much. They shouldn't be deciding which revealing designer boob tube to wear.

Parents must be at their wits' end trying to provide the wants and needs of these little tweens before the onset of the costly teenage years.
