A CHARITY which helps the homeless has been given a boost by the Lloyds TSB grant making trust Foundations.
Thomas, based at St Anne's House, France Street, Blackburn, has been given £3,000 towards a new mini-bus. Fr Jim McCartney, who helps run THOMAS, said: "We now have £8,000 for a mini bus, and we could now probably get a second hand one, although a brand new one would cost around £15,000.
"It will be used for our drug rehabilitation group because the project is expanding we need more transport. "
Foundations aims to support and work in partnership with charitable organisations who help those who are disadvantaged or disabled.
