THE members of Blackburn Inner Wheel Club have been busy this Spring upholding their ideals of fellowship, friendship and personal service.
They entertained members of the Business and Professional Women to supper and a talk by Mrs Pat Ascroft of Garstang, recounting her adventures during a sponsored bike ride for MENCAP from the Dead Sea to the Red Sea.
A regular spring-time activity is to provide afternoon tea for members of the Blackburn branch of the Blind Society, which is always thoroughly enjoyed by all who participate.
At the springtime lunch event, members heard about the activities of the Bethany Project in Tanzania and a substantial contribution was made towards their aims of providing children with a home, a clinic and a clean water supply.
