POLICE were taken aback to spot a naked teenager walking through Padiham in the early hours -- but nobody was more surprised than the man himself.
Burnley magistrates were told how diabetic Aiden Kevin O'Brien, 18, had missed the buffet at an 18th birthday party and the combination of that and drink had an "adverse effect" on him.
The last thing he could remember was being at the party at a pub.
He was seen by officers walking down Park Road with nothing on -- and his clothes tucked neatly under his arm.
O'Brien, of Bridge Street, Padiham, admitted being drunk and disorderly and was conditionally discharged for 12 months.
He was told by the bench his behaviour had been aggravated by the fact it was in a public place.
Andy Robinson, prosecuting, said O'Brien was seen staggering around and appeared to officers to be very unsteady on his feet.
Police went to speak to him and it was apparent he had just left the party at the King's Arms, in Padiham. The disorderly aspect of his behaviour was the fact he was naked in the street.
John Rusius, defending, said O'Brien had had something to drink but when he got to the party there was no buffet left.
