A MAN who was dramatically rescused from a smoke-filled house by his neighbour was discharged from hospital yesterday.
George Clark, of Meadow Bank, Accrington, was taken to Blackburn Infirmary on Tuesday evening to be treated for the effects of smoke inhalation after a chip pan caught on fire.
Mr Clark was seen banging on his living room window by David Jordan, who kicked down the back door and crawled on his hands and knees into the black-smoke filled house to find Mr Clark and dragged him to safety.
