SWITCH off the telly and join us for some real, live entertainment, is the message from folk club members.
Singer Pauline Dowsett, a member of host group Calico, has a message for couch potatoes.
"Turn off your TVs and treat yourselves to an evening of top entertainment with good music and good company at our meetings in Leigh town centre," she said.
The Folk Club's next meeting is today when singer-songwriter Jez Lowe returns by popular demand as the guest at the Railway Road club. The night begins at 7.30pm.
After the summer break, a full programme of entertainment is planned with Bolton Bullfrog Bernard Wrigley the star on September 21, and Vin Garbutt also booked to perform. Details on 01942 604603.
