MACMILLAN nurses have received a donation in memory of Dennis Sturges.
Dennis, who was landlord of Blackamoor Inn, Roman Road, Blackburn lost his battle against cancer in January.
Instead of flowers at the funeral, his wife Christine asked for donations to the Macmillan nurses who cared for Dennis to make his last months more comfortable.
A total of £845 was raised and Christine said: "I would like to thank everybody for their kind donations in memory of Dennis.
"The amount that has been raised is fantastic and the Macmillan nurses deserve an enormous thank you."
