WHO said what after Burnley's win over the Dons.

STAN TERNENT

On the side's progress: "We have had a good start but we are still really looking for full match fitness.

"Having said that I believe we are playing well and entertaining the fans, and it was a good afternoon's work."

On Alan Moore's impressive home debut: "Alan is an international footballer so his ability has never really been in question.

"He came here knowing he has a chance to show everyone just what he can do.

"If he continues to produce the goods then he will be a Burnley Football Club player."

GORDON ARMSTRONG

On the season's opening games: "You have to say it is a good start because we have had difficult opening games.

"When you look at Sheffield Wednesday and Wimbledon, who have both been in the Premiership, to have taken the six points is great but now we have got to win the next game.

"I thought we had a good first half against Wimbledon and fortunately we finished the game well after they had pulled a goal back in the second half.

"But we have kept our shape in both games so we have got to be quite happy."

On scoring the Clarets' third goal: "I missed a sitter last week at Sheffield Wednesday, so I kind of owed the lads.

"But it is nice to score, the last time I did was against Cardiff City which must be at least 18 months ago!"

TERRY BURTON

On goalkeeper Kelvin Davis's errors: "Kelvin is a good goalkeeper and he will get over it.

"To be honest I did not talk to him about it at all.

"He was a hero for us so many times last season so why dwell on it because I am sure he will be a hero for us again in the future."

On Dons performance: "We have got to be disappointed with the result because we did not really start playing until we were 3-1 down.

"I am not so worried. While we did make some mistakes that are a concern, when we did come out and play I felt that we showed an awful lot of quality.

"It was a great game and I felt that we contributed to it in a big way."

On losing their last three meetings with Burnley: "Burnley are a nuisance to be honest.

"They have done well against us every time they have played us, though I thought this game was the closest we had got to actually looking like getting something out of the game.

"They scored three times against us and you have to give them credit for that and say they deserved it.

"I am sure with the work Stan (Ternent) is doing here that Burnley can do just as well as last season, and possibly that bit better by getting into the play-offs."
