I WRITE this letter in the hope that it will be seen by Mr Richard Boland, chief executive of birthdays.
I wish to express in the strongest terms, my dismay at his decision to sell Manchester United merchandise in the Birthdays/Bury FC shop.
The shop is our club shop, situated at our ground and it is an outrage that another team's merchandise should be sold there. This would certainly not happen anywhere else and shows a complete disregard for, and misunderstanding of, the feelings of Bury FC supporters.
Last year, and in previous years, I spent around £300 on Bury FC merchandise for myself and my son. This season, however, I will not spend a penny in this shop until this "foreign rubbish" is removed form the shelves.
