THREE North End players have committed their future to the club by signing new deals which will keep them at Deepdale for the next three years.

Full-back Graham Alexander, Rob Edwards and goalkeeper Tepi Moilanen have all signed three year contracts with the club this week.

Rob Edwards first signed a three-year deal with the club in August 1999 after a successful trial spell.

He had figured in a number of pre-season friendlies and impressed David Moyes enough to be offered a contract.

He was a free agent under the Bosman ruling, having refused a new contract at Bristol City.

The twenty-eight-year old started his career at Carlisle before moving to Bristol in 1991.

Although previously best known as a central midfielder, he has performed heroics for North End in defence, making the left-back spot his own.

Finland international Teppi has impressed between the sticks and although he has not claimed a regular first team place he has been chosen ahead of Lucas on several occasions.

Graham Alexander, aged 29, was signed from Luton in 1999 and is a regular in the squad at right back and is a useful penalty taker.

On Saturday Wolverhampton Wanderers visit Deepdale for a league encounter while on Tuesday North End visit Tranmere Rovers in the second round of the Worthington Cup.

Fans have been urged to buy tickets early for Saturday's league clash against Wolves at Deepdale to prevent a delayed kick-off which was necessary for the match against Walsall.
