FOOTWEAR workers who have completed a series of qualifications have had their hard work acknowledged.
A presentation was held at The Rockcliffe Club in Bacup, when employees of E Sutton and Son, Bacup, Apex Closing, Rawtenstall, and R & W Footwear Components, Waterfoot, were among those receiving awards.
They had completed a mix of National Vocational Qualifications in performing operations, certificates in word processing, accountancy and City and Guilds level two in footwear manufacturing skills.
In all more than 100 employees from the North West have achieved qualifications over the two years of the project which is based at E Sutton and Son.
