I AGREE with Mr Rod Wilkins (Letters, November 12). In the past month, I have been a patient in both of the Blackburn hospitals and witnessed three separate instances of elderly people being told which care home they were to go to, not asked, or even given a choice.
We have some very good homes in Blackburn and the surrounding area and private residential homes offer safe friendly family comforts.
Please give our elderly a choice. Let them see for themselves where they would like to live out their life.
