A MAN is wanted in connection with the theft of cash from a Prestwich pensioner on Friday evening (Nov 23).
He struck at 8.15pm when he called at the flat in the Hilton Lane area.
He asked the 68-year-old woman if he could look at a telephone directory before leaving. She later discovered £22 had disappeared from her purse.
Police are keen to speak to the caller who is described as in his early twenties, 5ft 7ins, slim with receding fair or mousy coloured hair.
