POLICE are appealing for residents in the Milking Lane area of Lower Darwen to be on the look-out for a man who has burgled six garages since Christmas.
The latest raid happened last Wednesday, but the owner only reported it this week.
A Dyson vacuum cleaner was stolen in that incident, and a neighbour saw a man running up Milking Lane holding the machine.
He was described as white, 6ft, gaunt and about 30 years old. He has been spotted in a variety of different clothes.
Sergeant Andrea Bradbury, of Darwen police, said extra officers were to patrol the area at night in the next week.
She added: "We want to alert residents in the Milking Lane area to check their garages regularly and secure property in them."
