A 43-year-old man was due to appear in court today charged with attempting to kidnap a 12-year-old girl on her way home from school.
Keith Gerard Worswick, of Snowden Avenue, Blackburn is alleged to have followed the girl before grabbing her by the arm.
Neighbours alerted by her screams gave chase to a man who ran away from the scene of the alleged incident in Tenby Close, Blackburn in November.
Worswick, who has been remanded in custody, was expected to appear before Blackburn magistrates.
