THE PG Tips monkeys are being replaced in adverts by animated birds from the Wallace and Grommit studio.
The chimps were first seen on Christmas Day, 1956, and took the brand of tea to the top.
All good things come to an end, but at least the ads raised a smile, more than can be said for today's tripe.
How long will it be before humans are replaced?
