SEE the spectacular treasures of ancient Egypt without heading off to the Valley of the Kings -- a new £3.5 million exhibition of replicas is coming to Blackpool Winter Gardens from February 2 to March 2.

Tutankhamun and the Treasures of Pharaohs features more than 300 stunning exact replicas of ancient Egyptian artefacts. All the pieces were made by artists and craftsmen associated with the Cairo Museum. The replacement value of the pieces is around £3.5 million.

Exhibits will include copies of Tutankhamun's beautiful gold death mask, his throne and the three sarcophagi -- the exhibition is the only place where you can see all three together as two are in the Cairo museum and the third is in King Tut's tomb -- along with 100 other treasures related to the famous king.

And there will be more than 200 artefacts and treasures concerning other Pharaohs on show including the bust of Nefertiti and the Rosetta Stone.

The exhibition will be open from 10am to 8pm daily. Admission is £6.50 for adults, £4 for children, £5.50 concessions. A family ticket -- two adults and two children -- is £18.50 and school parties cost £4, including some free projects packs for each group.
