EWOOD new-boy Andy Cole today backed Rovers starlets Matt Jansen and David Dunn for future England honours.

Cole is ready to take the two Rovers proteges under his wing following his club-record move from Manchester United.

And, providing the pair continue to listen and learn, he believes they both have a massive future in the game.

"I've got a responsibility to help the young lads here and it's really good because they want to learn," said Cole.

"I think if you speak to them, none of them will say I'm aloof or really arrogant. I just want to try my best to help them all.

"I'm always talking to them, basically trying to help them to improve their game, and I firmly believe we've got some talented kids here.

"I want to see them do well because I believe they've all got potential, players like Duffer, David Dunn in midfield, and Matt Jansen up front.

"They can go places, if they're coached the right way, I'm convinced of that.

"Given time, I think Jansen and Dunn are more than good enough to go on to play for England.

"But they also realise there's plenty of hard work still to be done."
