Leyland Warriors U15s Girls 10 Bradford Bulls 40

ANOTHER strong performance by all involved but the Warriors girls could not overcome the Bulls. Tries from top tackler Charley Naylor and Kirsty Marshall secured the points for Leyland. Player of the match was captain Kirsty Barrett who was outstanding as stand-off.

Oldham St Anne's 30 Leyland Warriors U12s 0

THE Warriors restarted their season with a cup game at Oldham St Annes. It was a spirited performance despite playing with only ten players. Jamie Baxter with none stop effort was the man of the match playing his strongest game of the season. Harry Strange gave strong support as the best tackler. Newcomer Chris Ramsdale with some excellent runs show good promise with Richard Appleby making his mark in defence.

Leyland Warriors U16s 8 Pilkingtons Rec 26

THE Warriors made an excellent start and Leyland took the first points of the match with a well run team effort. Both teams played a hard tackling game with end to end play throughout the match. A lull in the Warriors play let the opposition get the edge but although they redoubled their efforts in the second half, were unable to get the points back. In this thrilling game where both tries were scored by Rick Nichol, Jamie Jackson was man of the match and Shaun Lambert was top tackler.

Leyland Warriors U18s 12 Pilkington Recs 29

THE Warriors started well against Pilkingtons and went into half time in the lead 12-10 with tries from Sam Harrison and Chris Banks who ran the full length of the pitch. In the second half Warriors let their advantage slip and spent most of it on the back foot defending. Man of the match was Dan Lofthouse.
