DAVID Moyes says he has not given up hope of signing Thordur Gudjonsson, admitting a longer loan than first anticipated remains a possibility.
The move appeared dead as the Icelandic star would not have been able to join for the just one month, as Moyes wanted.
This was because the Spainish transfer window would have closed before his return so would have not been able to play until the end of the season.
The former Derby star would provide the sort of cover North End desperately need.
