I AM the driver of a council gritter and in our defence I have to say that we try our best.
But we can't do anything about it when the roads are gridlocked, which was the case with Bolton Street and Bolton Road West in Ramsbottom during the recent snowfall. After all these are lorries we are driving, not helicopters; we can only sit in the queue the same as everyone else!
We all pay our rates for council services so to all the moaners I say: stop throwing your toys out of the pram.
