ON December 8 a reunion was held at Bury Football Club for former employees of Bibby and Baron which closed last year after 132 years. More than 150 ex-employees attended, a good time was had by all, and we raised £206 for Bury Hospice on the night.
There was a unanimous consensus that we should have another party next year, again in aid of Bury Hospice but with more people attending. The problem this year has been contacting former employees as many have married or moved away.
