GOLBORNE SC 2 , POYNTON 2: GOLBORNE SC dropped another two points in the race for the Mid-Cheshire League title against a poor but spirited Poynton side.
The home side never turned their superiority into goals and defensive lapses in concentration were always likely to keep Poynton in with a chance of going away with at least a point.
Goals from Patterson with a brace spared Golbornes blushes, on the plus side Golborne were not lacking in hard work with every player giving 100 per cent and once a bit of luck comes their way they will be a force to be reckoned with again.
This Saturday Golborne are at home to Cheadle for a league game, kick off is 3pm.
