RAMSBOTTOM extended their run to just one loss in eight NWCL Division One games with victory over Atherton.

Bradley Franks gave Mike Kelly's men a dream start with a fourth minute goal - his third of the season.

David Yorke-Robinson made the Rams rest a little easier with a goal nine minutes after the interval as he fired home his 18th goal of the campaign.

But Atherton put Ramsbottom under pressure and made on effort count in 66 minutes.

But the Rams held on for a morale-boosting three points.
