JULIAN Duggan, an angler from Essex, has been spending some time in the Lake District and along the Ribble.

He makes the point that when people talk about "game fish" they mean trout, sea trout and salmon. He then points out that the grayling puts up a great fight and is regarded as a game fish.

I wonder if any readers know of areas in the North West where graylings are caught. Lancashire Evening Telegraph readers never let us down and I await replies with interest.
