LOCAL politicians can now be held to account thanks to a new complaints procedure launched this week.
From Sunday (May 5), councillors on county, unitary, city, district, town and parish councils can be reported by anybody if they break the national code of conduct.
If anybody feels a councillor is abusing their position they can write to the Standards Board of England, PO Box 36656, London, SE1 OWN, or ring (0800) 107 2001.
