A CHURCHMAN will conduct his last service this Sunday before heading for the big city.
Father Peter McEvitt is leaving St Cuthbert's Church, Earnsdale Road, Darwen, for the Holy Family, Failsworth, Manchester.
He will oversee the confirmation of 14 candidates by the Bishop Steven of Lancaster this Sunday before leaving.
Father McEvitt joined St. Cuthbert's in September 1997 from St Augustine's, Pendlebury.
