GOLBORNE FC's season came to a close with a home darw against local rivals Daten.
Golborne had the greater share of possession but without turning it into definate goalscoring opportunities as both defences doggedly held firm.
It wasn't until midway through the second half that a sweetly struck shot from the edge of the box by the
impressive Paul Townsend put Golborne ahead.
This sprang Daten into life and they started to create a few opportunities of their own and eventually got their rewards from a near post corner when Neil Matthews wriggled free from the home side defensive clutches to head the equaliser with 10 minutes remaining.
