BOLTON Association champions Walshaw are not used to looking up the table at other teams.

The Bury side have dominated the league for the last three seasons and are chasing a fourth consecutive title but they find themselves in an unaccustomed fourth position, trailing Golborne, Spring View and Standish.

Tomorrow they are at home to Daisy Hil, whose batting performances have been undone by their lack of bowling depth, leaving them stuck at the bottom of the table.

A lot of runs could go on the board tomorrow as the two professionals, Walshaw's Jonathan Fielding and Daisy's Neil Bannister look to be in a free-scoring mood but back the home side to have the edge with the ball.

Current leaders Golborne should be too strong for Lostock and could stretch their lead but second and third placed sides Spring View and Standish will also be confident of picking up winning points.

Spring View, who have Paul Matthews showing good form with the bat, go to Astley and Tyldesley, who have slipped a little following their opening promise while it is unlikely Standish will lose at home to a Darcy Lever side showing only one win to date.

Atherton need to start picking up points if they are to stay in touch with the leading group and their home game against Clifton may give them the opportunity to do just that.

Greg Dimery and Phil West both had centuries last week so their form is not in doubt but it is clear that Atherton are missing the bowling of Steve Walsh, a player who could contain sides as well as picking up a good number of wickets.

In the final two games, Adlington will want to rediscover their all round form for tomorrow's local derby meeting with Blackrod and Edgworth, too, will want to show some improvement against an Elton side encouraged by some solid displays of late.
