THE funeral of a former Bacup cricketer was due to be held today after he lost his battle to cancer.
John Usher, 71, of Greave Terrace, Bacup, was a bowler with Bacup in the 1950s and 1960s and then went on to be cricket professional for Great Harwood.
The funeral was due to be held today at Trinity Baptist Church, Bacup, before cremation at Burnley.
