CLAYTON Harriers over 70 men have taken the silver medal in the British Veterans Road Relay Championships. Jim Dawson, Alan Heaton and Brian Leathley brought the team home in 1:16:47, five minutes behind winners Barnet.
The under 55 women, Val Lawson, Janet Ryan and Kitty Garnett finished just outside the medals in fourth, but Kitty and Val gained their consolation with first and second F60s in the Liverpool Ladies 10K the following day.
