THE Colne Lions 10K which takes place tomorrow evening is the second round of the Pendle and Burnley Grand Prix.

The two lap road course starts at Colne Cricket Club at 7:30pm.

Saturday's Hutton Roof Crags Race incorporates the second round of the English Junior Fell Championship.

Venue is the Hutton Roof Village Hall near Kirkby Lonsdale. The senior race is seven miles with 1300' of ascent and starts at 2:30pm.

Times for the junior races are not in the FRA calendar but have been confirmed with the organiser as follows: Under 14s and under 16s four miles at 2pm. Under 12s race less than two miles at 2:05pm. Under 18s five miles at 2:35pm and intermediates (non-championship) race with the seniors.

The fourth of Pendle Forest Orienteer's Spring Series is on Saturday at Peel Park in Accrington.

Briefing for novices is available at 10am, and starts are from 10:30am to 11:30am. Courses are white, yellow and orange and there is a 30 minute score event.

The Barlick Duathlon is the final race in the Tri-Sport Duathlon Series. With a 9am start in Barnoldswick, there are two three mile runs with a 22 mile cycle race sandwiched between.

The Darwen Triathlon is fully subscribed for both individuals and teams. Venue is Darwen Leisure Centre at 8am on Sunday and the race includes an 800 yard swim, 16 mile cycle and five mile run.

The Great Hameldon Hill Race organised by Clayton Harriers is at noon on Sunday. Six miles long with 1100' of climb, it starts from the Peel Park Hotel, Turkey Street in Accrington.

There is also a three mile long junior race at 10:45am and a family fun run at 10:15am.

The Nether Kellett 10K is on Sunday at 11am, and there is a family fun run approximately two miles long at 10:30am.

It starts from Nether Kellett Village Hall south of Carnforth. Exit the M6 at J35.

The closing date for the Great Women's Run on Sunday has passed.

The five miler starts at Albert Square in Manchester and 9:15am and passes through Coronation Street en route.
