THE annual random doubles Dean Cup bowling competition was held on Sunday, May 19, at Lowerhouse Bowling Club.

Winners of the cup were Chez, Viola and Maureen Kay who were presented with a £20 prize.

Runners-up were Fred Roberts and Barbara Smith, who received £10.

The competition is held each year and open to members of the club.

ROSEGROVE Action Group is holding an It's a Knockout competition on the Railway Club car park on Monday, June 3.

Entries are invited for the adults competition for those over 16 and from younger competitors under 16.

Each team needs five members altogether.

A barbecue and bric-a-brac stalls will be outside the club and all proceeds will go towards the Christmas tree lights.

There will be medals for the winning team.

Adults team entry is £5.

THE next Police Surgery will be held on May 28 from 3pm onwards by community beat officer for Rosegrove and Lowerhouse PC Linda Haywood.

The surgery will be held at 12 Lowerhouse Lane.

PC Haywood will be available to answer questions from local people and help with any problems in the community.

Linda is looking for 12 volunteers from the Rosegrove Lowerhouse community to help organise run a football team for the youngsters of the area.

The team will be run in conjunction with Rosegrove Action Group, community wardens and police.

Pair to wed on Cyprus

THE wedding of Julie Ashworth and Darren Fullard takes place on May 29 in Paphos, Cyprus. Neighbours, friends and relatives in Rosegrove have passed on their congratulations.

Bernice and Dougie Cowan will celebrate their 46th wedding anniversary on June 3. Bernice is an active member of Rosegrove Action Group.
