This week, with PETER VICKERAGE, 32, entertainments manager at Jumpin' Jak's, Blackburn

MEMORY: Being lost on the beach in Laboule, Brittany, when I was five. It was my fault. I wandered off towards the trampolines and, having no sense of direction, couldn't find my way back.

HOLIDAY: As above. My father owned three companies so we were in a nice position to be able to afford holidays.

JOB: Working at McDonald's. It didn't work out because I refused to go out wearing a litter patrol jacket because all my friends hung out outside.

VENTURE INTO ENTERTAINMENT: When I was 23 I did my first season with Thomson Holidays at Benalmadena Costa, Spain, near Malaga. I was an all-round entertainer -- hosting game shows, singing, dancing, doing cabaret. I was a qualified fitness instructor and lifeguard and saved someone from drowning -- he still sends me postcards.

ENTERTAINMENT MANAGER'S ROLE: For First Choice Holidays in Gran Canaria. I worked on cruise ships for three years -- Airtours' three vessels Carousel, Seawing and Sundream and Thomson's ship The Emerald.

CAR: A VW Beetle, orange, my pride and joy, my own little Herbie. It had the most condensation inside that you've ever seen.

HERO: Billy Connolly. In sport, Ian Botham -- and, of course, my dad. I had a lot of support and guidance from my mum and dad, Chris and John, my sister and my fiancee, Dawn Holmes, a professional dancer who I met on the ships.

AMBITION: To be as successful as possible in the entertainments industry, and, of course, to be famous!

ALCOHOLIC DRINK: A cocktail of Diamond White cider and Gold Label at a party. Somebody asked me my name and I had to give them my wallet for identification because I couldn't put a sentence together
