HOW about this for a great idea - a keyboard made of light that can be projected onto a flat surface and typed away on.

Canesta (www.canesta.com), from San Jose in Silicon Valley, has designed what it says is the world's first integrated projection keyboard for mobile and wireless devices.

A tiny sensor beams down the keyboard image and two others pick up the movements to send signals back to the sensor.

Video game manufacturers are already looking at it to allow players to move characters around a scene.
