MOTORISTS travelling to Wigan via Bickershaw Lane will have their journeys disrupted on weekdays until Tuesday.
A section of the road is closed between 9.30am and 4pm for resurfacing work to be carried out.
Off peak journeys on bus service 658 between Wigan and Leigh will be affected with journeys diverted from Platt Bridge via Hindley and Hindley Green to the Tamar.
During the closure periods Wigan Council will fund a free shuttle bus, no 663, to operate between Bickershaw Labour Club and the Tamar where connections can be made with buses to and from Leigh.
This service will operate every 20 minutes except for a break between 12.20pm and 1.20pm each day.
