CAN anyone wonder that people in the fire service are disgruntled at their rates of pay?

These men and women receive around £20,000 a year, which is a long way from being sufficient reward for the danger they put themselves in whilst carrying out their duties. They lay their lives on the line day in, and day out.

Meanwhile, some illiterate thug who just happens to be able to kick a football around better then most others can earn £50,000 a week.

Someone, somewhere has their priorities wrong!
