THE first in the Valley Views series in Rossendale's 2002/2003 winter guided walks programme is on Sunday, October 27.
'Beating Some Bounds' is a high level figure-of-eight ramble of five or 11 miles, north west and north east from Sharneyford, taking in sections of the Bacup boundary.
Valley Views are billed as "longer, harder walks at a purposeful pace" using quieter upland paths and looking at particular themes within their personal fitness limits.
Meet Gordon Fox at the junction of Flower Scar Road (near to summit) Sharneyford at 10.30am or 1.30pm. No dogs.
