CRAIG Brown is adamant his players will have to start creating their own luck -- but it won't be easy, with Ricardo Fuller out of action for three games.

North End's appeal for the Jamaican's red card ban to be quashed has been rejected by the FA due to a lack of evidence.

Brown had hoped video footage would prove that Fuller, carded after being involved in the fracas which ensued at Bradford after Richard Cresswell was hurled into the advertisment hoardings and knocked out cold, did nothing wrong. But the cameras didn't catch the rumpus, focusing on Cresswell. As well as this weekend's game, Fuller will be absent for the home game against Reading and the midweek away outing to league leaders Portsmouth.

He will return for the TV Burnley game on November 2.

Brown said: "We are very disappointed because we were sure the video footage would have vindicated our appeal, but it was not to be and we have to accept the suspension."

David Healy is expected to play alongside Cresswell upfront, providing he is fully fit when he returns from Northern Ireland.
