I AM writing in support of the opinions expressed by "Justice" (Your Letters, Oct 8).

"Joy riding" is a public hazard and a daily occurrence on Chesham Field, Bury. The motor cycle riders tear across the field, scattering anyone in their way. They ride around the Lido on the grass banks and cut through the flower beds, revving their engines.

I have seen policemen talking to them but it has made no difference.

I hope the charitable behaviour of "Justice", in calling the emergency services to the injured boy after being so shamefully treated, will have taught the young man a lesson.
