WHEN a shop closes in Bury town centre we can all guess that it will be replaced by yet another greeting cards outlet. So it was no surprise that the new Mill Gate development hosts yet another one, of the most preposterous proportions!
Yes, there will always be a demand for greeting cards but surely Bury has more than enough of these shops already.
A Woolworth's would be welcome, or an off-licence. We used to have a Victoria Wines outlet. Working in Bury, I would like to have a better variety of wine-makers for choosing gifts, without having to buy Marks & Spencer's own brand, or braving the elements to reach Tesco or Asda.
