This week, with ANDREW RAWLINSON, 30, actor, director, radio presenter and general manager of Horse and Bamboo Theatre

HOLIDAY: On the Norfolk Broads. I was about 10 and had just been involved in a horse riding accident, in which I broke my arm. My parents were worried that if I fell in, I would be dragged to the bottom by my pot! I had to wear a lifejacket all the time.

HOME: I bought the family home six years ago, which is four houses knocked into one. A lot of happy memories there but I love my cottage in Rossendale now.

JOB: Assistant production manager for a furniture manufacturing company called Sutcliffe Furniture, based in Todmorden.

CAR: A Nissan Micra -- my parents bought it for me for my 17th birthday. I remember I picked up this brand new car from the garage, and went to show my best friend. We looked under the bonnet, and I checked the oil. The dip-stick showed that there was no oil in, so I put five litres in . . . of course, there was oil in and I blew all the seals! That is, of course, after I drove to the garage looking like a scene from a Bond Film -- with a smoke screen!

HERO: My Dad. He was absolutely invincible to me as a child.

RECORD: Ravel's Bolero, I am ashamed to say. I was a big fan of the great ice skaters, Torvill and Dean, and the hypnotic feel of the music was just fantastic.

STAGE PERFORMANCE: When I was 11, and I appeared in a youth theatre production of Bugsy Malone at the Hippodrome Theatre, Todmorden.

PROFESSIONAL PERFORMANCE: As another policeman, but this time as the host of a touring murder mystery company called Murder Mystery UK.
