When you play Oldham at Boundary Park it will be akin to turning out in Siberia.

Amid gales and driving rain, the Clarets won 1-0.

Sky's the limit

AUCTIONING off Stan Ternent's place in the dug-out for the two games of his touchline ban has not only brought in a few quid, it has got Burnley national recognition.

On Sky's Soccer AM last week Helen Chamberlain was quick to praise the initiative and from the moment last week's successful bidder Scott Atkinson had finished his highly entertaining press conference he was in demand from the likes of Radio Five Live and Talksport.

Physio wanted

BURNLEY Football Club is looking for a chartered physiotherapist to work in their Centre of Excellence and the youth development department.

The job will involve working at both weekends and in the evening and the applications should be sent to the club at: Turf Moor, Burnley, Lancashire, BB10 4BX.

Grimsby travel

BURNLEY Football Supporters Club will be running a trip to Grimsby Town on Tuesday, October 29.

They will depart Colne bus station at 3.30, Nelson bus station at 3.40, Queensgate at 3.50, Turf Moor at 4.00, Tim Bobbin at 4.10 and Rawtenstall at 4.25.
