TECHNOLOGY might be moving at ever increasing speeds but staff at Queen's Park Technology College are doing their best to keep up.

All staff have had the opportunity to attend a New Opportunity Fund training programme to improve their knowledge and skills in information technology.

They have also had in-depth training in digital videos for the benefit of all students particularly in the media department.

New interactive whiteboards are also up and running in the lessons -- allowing teachers to offer the latest facilities.

Spokesman for the college, Rick Whittaker, said: "The college has future plans for the expansion of the scheme.

"It hopes to use digital video to make supported self study materials for students.

"Students stand to benefit greatly from the staff's involvement in this programme.

"They now have the opportunity to reach their full potential and utilise all of the excellent equipment available to them."
