IT'S Christmas time again and everybody will be enjoying themselves. Well, some of them -- as I find that if you want a night out on Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve, you have to have plenty of money.

It's not fair as everyday people can't afford to pay club prices. That's all we seem to have got in the last couple of years in town.

If you want to go to your 'local' in the town centre, they're either closed or you have to go to another establishment where there is a 'tickets-only' function. Why can't pubs be open to anybody and everybody so anyone can enjoy themselves, instead of travelling all over the place to find somewhere where they are welcome?

So, come on, pubs, do better this year, stay open for your regulars and don't place a 'tickets-only' restriction on your premises. Remember, not everyone can afford to pay to go in and buy drinks all night.
